JETAA Prairies Japan Trivia and Networking Night; Saturday, December 1st, 2018; Start time: 6pm; at Garbonzo’s University of Winnipeg.
We will have our first ever Japan Trivia and Networking Night! We will hold it at Garbonzo’s Pizza Pub University of Winnipeg AnX at 2-471 Portage Avenue. This event is open to all who are interested and not just JET alumni. Teams/tables will answer the questions. We will create the teams depending on the number of people attending. The questions will come from a variety of topics including Japanese history, pop culture, sports, and current events.
If you (and your friends) would like to participate, please send an RSVP with your name and number of guests to rsvp(at)jetaaprairies.ca.
JETAA Prairies alumni giving a presentation on the JET Programme at the University of Winnipeg, October 3rd, 2018.
We held our info sessions over the past three days at three different locations. On October 1st, we held an info session at the University of Manitoba to about 13 attendees. The next day, we held an info session at Canadian Mennonite University where one person came all the way from Brandon. We held the last one on Wednesday, October 3rd, at the University of Winnipeg. 21 interested people showed up.
Please read this carefully to see if you’re eligible before you apply. Also, please get familiar with the application process. The application deadline is November 16th, 2018. It’s better to start sooner rather than later (especially with getting those reference letters).
Good luck to everyone! 頑張れ！ A big thank you to the venues who hosted and to all the alumni who presented. お疲れ様！ (“Good job” in Japanese).
